How did you end up working for Swintt and what is the sweetest part in working there?

My career in the gambling industry dates back to 2008 when I started working in retail betting shops in Scotland. From there, I eventually made my way to Malta where I joined a sportsbook. Afterwards, I moved into social casino and then on to some of the biggest slot providers in the business. In 2019, I was given the opportunity to build Swintt from the ground up. Two and a half years later I am still here and feel incredibly proud of the huge progress we have made – and results achieved – in such a short space of time. The incredible team we have built is absolutely the best part about working at Swintt and I know that we are not even close to unlocking the full potential of what our talent can achieve.

To most Finns Swintt is still a very fresh game provider. Could you give a short introduction to the company and its philosophy please? Where does the extraordinarily cool name come from?

Swintt is a fast-growing game provider that is focused on delivering proven, specialist content that exceeds player expectations. Armed with a diverse portfolio of games localised in key markets, a best-in-class live dealer suite and powerful gamification tools, our expanding range of products cater to different player tastes and changing market trends allowing our partner to leverage growth opportunities in jurisdictions around the world.

When our CEO was thinking about a name for the business, he wanted something that captured what we are and that is a company that delivers entertaining games while being fast yet friendly. He really liked the same Swint, but the website domain was already taken. A few minutes later and with the addition of an extra “T” – the Swintt domain was purchased and the business was born.

You have launched +100 slots in the last two years. That is truly remarkable, maybe even unheard of and it raises a question – how is it even possible?

Our business model is to design a broad portfolio of slots that appeals to all different player likes and preferences as this is the best way of helping our operator partners engage the largest possible audience. It also helps to drive awareness of Swintt which in turn enables us to add more operators to our roster of partners.

In Germany, for example, we have enjoyed great success by taking popular land-based slots and recreating them for online play, allowing players to enjoy these games from the comfort of their own homes. Other titles have been designed to appeal more to players in Malta jurisdictions, while some are aimed at players in the Swedish market. We have several studios within the organisation that we use to develop our games, which has enabled us to quickly build out our portfolio.

That being said, the quality of games is just as important as the quantity of tiles we launch. We work hard to improve the quality of our games every month so that they continue to meet player and market needs. Our production line is always firing on all cylinders, and we are working on the next run of games that promise incredible themes, striking graphics and the best player experience across all devices.

What kind of cool innovations and elements can players find from Swintt slots?

We are always looking at industry trends and gaining feedback from our titles to ensure we are constantly improving the content that we design, develop and launch each month. One thing we are particularly excited about is our first game to include a Buy the Bonus feature. Book Of The East will launch in October and it promises to be epic.

We have also recently introduced our own ways to win mechanic, XtraWays, which made its debut in Lone Rider. The mechanic and the game have received great feedback, but we have also used this to make improvements to our next XtraWays game set for release in November. Rock n’Ways XtraWays has a rock music theme and really makes players feel like they are the star of the show.

What is your favourite Swintt game and why?

My favourite game is Lone Rider XtraWays because of its innovative mechanic. I am also very excited about our October and November releases. Book Of The East is, in my opinion, one of our best-looking games to date and introducing the Buy the Bonus Feature for the first time is very exciting for us.

We also listened to feedback from Lone Rider XtraWays which we have used to guide the development of our next XtraWays release, Rock n’Ways XtraWays. Not only I am excited about the rock n roll themed but I can’t wait to see player reactions given the max payout is 25,000x their bet.

Kasinoranking has been playing a lot of Swintt slots recently. Hachi’s Quest of Heroes is our favourite. Will we see more jackpot games from Swintt any time soon?

We are thrilled to hear that you like Hachi’s Quest of Heroes. We will be looking to introduce more jackpot games in the near future. However, the next game with huge potential will be Rock n’Ways XtraWays. While it’s not a jackpot game, the max win is set really high.

SwinttLive games are competing against the likes of Evolution Gaming which is a true industry heavyweight. How do these Swintt live games stand out from the competition?

The competition is increasing every month and to stand out is not easy. However, launching SwinttLive has been a breakthrough for Swintt and our game portfolio. Our live solution is the only one to be streamed from the heart of Las Vegas, it is mobile-first and is extremely intuitive with well-trained dealers.

Our portfolio, which currently includes Roulette, Baccarat and Tiger Bonus Baccarat, will be soon expanding with the addition of Blackjack plus a Roulette variant that includes multipliers on key numbers for a more volatile and exciting experience.

What kind of gamification elements are we about to see in your future slots?

We know that gamification tools are extremely popular with players which led us to develop SwinttGamify. This allows us to offer tournaments, leaderboards, achievements and automated payouts to players from one widget ecosystem. This is all about bringing players a more engaging experience than with normal slot games while also rewarding their play.

This includes a range of scoring mechanics to keep the tournaments exciting, while the in-game mini scoreboard allows players to check their score at any time without needing to pause the game – this becomes crucial in end-stage race tournaments where the leaderboard becomes competitive

Swintt-Play-it-Back has something to do with charity. What can you tell about this innovation?

Play-it-Back is a way for Swintt and operators to give back to some truly incredible charities and good causes. Play-it-Back is a product that allows players to become their own philanthropist and works by allowing casinos and Swintt to donate part of the revenues generated from our games to charities.

Nobody has a crystal ball but how do you see the future of slots and online gambling in general? In your opinion, which elements are likely to become more and more important?

We are doing all we can to change the perception of online casino and I believe that by choosing the right partners we will get to a point where the industry will be seen in a much better light.

From the developer perspective, we see that the competition is really high and so a sustainable strategy is a must.

We believe that gamification, innovation and quality are the key elements to keep players entertained and that is ultimately what players are looking for when deciding where and what to play. We are looking forward to the future because I truly believe that with Swintt’s team and strategy we are very much on the path to sustainable success.
