David started his career in Gaming way back in 2003, as a Customer Service Manager at PokerRoom.com, later as VP of Ongame Network, the creation of the largest B2B Poker Network. The company was sold in December 2005 to Bwin, for €475m. Since then David has held numerous Management Roles including Head of Operations, at Microgaming, CEO at NYX Interactive, instrumental in the creation of NYX OGS, the company merged with NextGen Gaming to form NYX Gaming Group then sold to Scientific Games in December 2017 for €500m.

After a switch back to CEO, growing the VeraJohn brand at Jackpotjoy Group, he became Co-founder and CEO of Swintt.

Former Vera & John chief to lead new B2B content firm

David Flynn tells EGR his new business will provide localised content in a market currently lacking innovation

 

Former Jackpotjoy operations chief David Flynn will lead a new content supplier business that aims to take on the likes of NetEnt and Playtech with a proprietary portfolio of RNG and live casino games.

 

Flynn took up the role of CEO at Swintt last month after a year and a half at JPJ and a 12-year career at NYX.
Flynn said the new business has bought up a number of assets across globe, including game studios and live dealer studios, with plans to launch a first tranche of 25 games on a Malta licence towards the end of Q3.

 

The business is backed by Glitnor Group, an investment vehicle helmed by former Vera&John chief Johan Königslehner and partner Dan Andersson. Glitnor acquired the LucyCasino brand last year as part of its B2C business, with Swintt forming the B2B arm.
“Think of us like Cherry’s Yggdrasil,” Flynn told EGR.

 

Flynn said Swintt would stand out in a crowded market by partnering with market-specific land-based content providers to develop localised games.

 

“There’s obviously a lot of providers in the market today but there still not hitting the mark,” Flynn said.

 

“There’s some innovation but not at the speed I think it should be. I’ve been on the B2B side for 16 years building up the largest content distribution network in the industry in the NYX OGS, and then while on the operator side I just didn’t see anyone standing out from the market. Its all very same-same.

 

“I want to create those points of differentiation and meet our customers’ needs in terms of games, but also corporate needs in terms of responsibility and sustainability.”

 

Swintt will start with Malta and Isle of Man licences, with a UK licence in the pipeline.

 

Flynn added: “From a personal view, starting a new business within the B2B segment of iGaming requires experience, determination, deep pockets, differentiated product, lasting relationships and a never-ending will to succeed.

We’ve been fortunate enough to meet David Flynn, CEO of the new upcoming game studio Swintt, to talk about their quest to make localized quality games while making a positive impact.


GP: Hi David! We’re very happy that you’ve taken the time to have a chat with us at SlotCatalog, I’m sure our readers will appreciate it! Could you please give us an intro to how and why Swinnt was founded?


Swintt was founded in May 2019 by myself and some industry colleagues with many years experience in the industry. We noticed there was a lack of game providers focused on delivering the right content for the right markets, so we wanted to leverage our knowledge of player preferences across the world and build a strong, diverse portfolio. 


We have quickly grown a name for ourselves as an exciting young company with a rich product suite that delivers a varied catalogue of games, localised content for growth markets to help our partners offer relevant games - from land-based classics to regional favourites - all enhanced with gamification tools to deliver more engaging experiences via SwinttGamify.

 

 The main focus of the company however is to make a positive difference in the world. We are developing our product SwinttPlay-it-back, which through our gamification system enables players to select a charity of their choice and see their gameplay contribute to their chosen charity. This will enable every player to become a philanthropist while not hampering the game experience in any way.

Expansion and Gamification- An Interview with Swintt's David Mann

 

With the iGaming industry constantly expanding, numerous software developers are bringing innovation and modernization on a weekly basis. We sat down with David Mann from Swintt, one of the most innovative international software development studios and asked a few questions about their upcoming products. This interview comes at a time of major news for the company, so keep reading and don’t miss out on the latest updates.


GP: You have just released your new slot Everlasting Spins? Can you tell us a bit more about this release, the mechanics players can expect and the payout potential of the game? What are the main features that players should be looking out for?


Our latest release Everlasting Spins revitalizes the classic 3x3, 9-line slot by adding in both a multiplier reel as well as a free spins meter. The relaxing visuals and gentle sounds create a relaxing vibe in the game which blends well with the exciting features.


The multiplier reel spins alongside the base game reels with a maximum multiplier of 15x, giving every winning spin the opportunity to build into something substantial and creating a maximum win on a single spin of 1875x. We have also included a free spins meter – each time one or two scatter symbols land on the reels, they are added to the meter. When three scatters appear, they are added to the meter and trigger the bonus round with the amount of spins from the meter. This can lead to long and exciting bonus rounds which also feature the multiplier reel.


GP: There is talk of you launching games created by a German development studio that normally focuses on land-based games. When can we expect to see these titles go online under the Swintt brand and what kind of slots experience are we talking about?

We are delighted to have an exclusive distribution agreement with a prominent land-based provider who have a strong land-based in the German market, with further presence across Austria and Netherlands. Starting with 20 of their best games in the first batch, we will be launching some real land-based classics including the exciting Heart of Earth, the mythological Perseus, the evergreen Fresh Fruit and the top performer Master of Books.


The games are quintessentially land-based, with the game experience constructed from solid math, familiar but engaging graphics and most importantly authentic and immersive sound design that echo the gaming halls prominent across Europe. We’ve seen a great interest in these games from the gaming community and can’t wait to have them live over the next few weeks.


GP: Your Indian studio has been doing some great things and there are new games announced for 2020. Can you tell us more about these upcoming titles and the kind of excitement that players who enjoy Indian themes are in for?


The first release from our sister studio RNGplay is Royal Golden Dragon, which is available on our demo site already. This game features a fixed wild in the middle of the third reel during the base game as well as the bonus round. The Dragon Wild symbol can also turn other symbols on the reels into additional wild symbols to award extra wins after the original wins have been added.


Three scatters will trigger the bonus wheel, which has a selection of either win multipliers or up to 20 free spins, during which stacked wilds can appear on reels 1, 2, 4 or 5 after the original wins, adding more excitement to the random wilds from the base game.


We have further releases down the line from RNGplay, who are also helping us produce our content with popular Indian themes. Soon we have the exciting Bollywood Billions, set on the film set of a Bollywood TV serial featuring the handsome hero, his beautiful love and of course the disapproving mother-in-law! Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming demo release of Bollywood Billions, but also some other developments that will be popular for Indian audiences.


GP: Japan is an interesting iGaming market that doesn’t seem to get the attention it should. We understand Swintt is working on content that will be popular with players interested in Japanese themes, so please elaborate a little on this coming expansion.


Japanese themes are popular with audiences worldwide, and there is significant Japanese diaspora around the world who will also be interested to hear about our upcoming content. Given our focus on delivering localised content, we have been inspired by local themes and popular game mechanics to produce some truly authentic and proven Japanese style games. Though I cannot reveal too much right now, I can discuss the names of the two upcoming titles – Hana Bana which means ‘Beautiful Flower’, and Sushi Master.


GP: Finally, SwinttGamify is coming to online casinos soon. Could you please provide our readers with more information on this new gamification product? What kind of new features can we expect and how will they reflect on the overall experience as well as value of playing Swintt powered games.


SwinttGamify is our full gamification product that provides more functions within our games, meaning players have more opportunities to win! There will be in-game achievements, missions across multiple games and regular tournaments that can be entered from within the game. Add in real-time, in-game leaderboards and players can enjoy our games further without having to enter and exit the game window regularly.


A major part of the product is instant rewards which will grant players their prize at the press of a button – a great function for players who have won a solid cash prize or batch of free spins and want to continue their game play. This is something that can be lost with many tournament functions in the industry as older systems have to run processes in order to credit wins to players. Being efficient to offer an enhanced game experience is a core value of SwinttGamify.

Former Vera & John chief to lead new B2B content firm

David Flynn tells EGR his new business will provide localised content in a market currently lacking innovation

 

Former Jackpotjoy operations chief David Flynn will lead a new content supplier business that aims to take on the likes of NetEnt and Playtech with a proprietary portfolio of RNG and live casino games.

 

Flynn took up the role of CEO at Swintt last month after a year and a half at JPJ and a 12-year career at NYX.
Flynn said the new business has bought up a number of assets across globe, including game studios and live dealer studios, with plans to launch a first tranche of 25 games on a Malta licence towards the end of Q3.

 

The business is backed by Glitnor Group, an investment vehicle helmed by former Vera&John chief Johan Königslehner and partner Dan Andersson. Glitnor acquired the LucyCasino brand last year as part of its B2C business, with Swintt forming the B2B arm.
“Think of us like Cherry’s Yggdrasil,” Flynn told EGR.

 

Flynn said Swintt would stand out in a crowded market by partnering with market-specific land-based content providers to develop localised games.

 

“There’s obviously a lot of providers in the market today but there still not hitting the mark,” Flynn said.

 

“There’s some innovation but not at the speed I think it should be. I’ve been on the B2B side for 16 years building up the largest content distribution network in the industry in the NYX OGS, and then while on the operator side I just didn’t see anyone standing out from the market. Its all very same-same.

 

“I want to create those points of differentiation and meet our customers’ needs in terms of games, but also corporate needs in terms of responsibility and sustainability.”

 

Swintt will start with Malta and Isle of Man licences, with a UK licence in the pipeline.

 

Flynn added: “From a personal view, starting a new business within the B2B segment of iGaming requires experience, determination, deep pockets, differentiated product, lasting relationships and a never-ending will to succeed.

SWINTT are seeking a games release and promotions coordinator to join our product team based in Malta; an incredible opportunity to make your mark.

Objectives:  This new role will ensure the timely release, and promotion of our latest games to our customer base across the globe. Creating, analysing and optimizing the performance of promotional activities across our customer network helping them to grow their businesses using our games content delivered across a growing number of markets.

You will be responsible for increasing our game performance through the creation of innovative tournaments, competitions, achievements and other promotions on a network-wide and operator specific basis both for the launch of new games to our customers and for our customers to use in their respective sites and marketing campaigns.

 

You will ensure that ROI is measured and optimized for each subsequent event, constantly being proactive, persistent and creative in your approach. You will work across the organisation from product, technology, delivery, operations and commercial, and be involved in with the marketing and sales of our products, new product concepts and promotional campaigns.


On a daily basis you will work closely with both our external partners and SWINTT’s internal teams across the globe to forecast, plan, execute and report on the successes achieved, with the objective to maximize profit from new and existing clients in the SWINTT family.

 

Tasks and duties include:

• Working with the product team to create and market the game release roadmap
• Working with our promotional tools to create network wide and operator specific promotions on a theme, geographic, game or timed basis
• Creating and balancing a sticky game experience that leverages triggered achievements, bonuses, levelling and points
• Work with our account management team to deliver training and material to our customer base regarding our promotion engine
• Assessing promotional activities from an ROI perspective and feeding back to the business performance in terms of future product development and financial forecasts
• Creating an annual promotion budget based on Network and customer volume
• Listen to and discuss with our customers to best understand their promotional needs
• Define customer specific game release and promotional roadmap

Swintt continuing strong 2019 with launch of Panda Warrior

Swintt starts off 2020 with United Remote partnership agreement

 

Swintt, the innovative and forward-thinking game provider, are continuing their strong momentum from the previous year by announcing their first deal of 2020, with gaming platform United Remote.

Swintt strikes deal with Condor Gaming

 

Malta-based game provider Swintt continue to soar as they announce a partnership agreement with operator Condor Gaming.
